More and more French cities affected by gang warfare linked to drugs

I have posted for some years about the social conditions and crime in my small City in the Languedoc.

Now more and more places are seeing gangland shootings and reprisals, which for years have been common in Corsica and Marseille, usually linked to drug trafficking

Isn't it strange on french news within the last couple of days Montpellier was considered one the best places in France to live, Bordeaux coming top of the list. So is this news, we all saw The French Connection......... drugs and

gangs in France then and there are drugs and gangs in France now. I'm

wondering how it is really any different.

Years ago there were accounts settled in the city where we lived and people died.
