woolybanana
Just a reminder that Air France ground staff are striking on Saturday the 2nd August. Both international and regional airports are concerned. It is, of course, the busiest holiday changeover day of the year.

betty
and now Air France pilot's have extended their strike until the 26th September. Must be a lot of inconvenience for some.
idun
wooly, maybe you should only post about AF when they are not on strike or threatening strikes.I think I have only flown AF once and that was donkey's years ago, I wouldn't take the risk these days. woolybanana
The pilots are the best paid in Europe and fly the fewest hours. They dont wanna either work harder or transfer to the low cost Transavia where they will fly more hours for lower pay (unless already on a scale when they will stay the same). If they continue in this way, Air France will go bust in a few years. They have made big strides tiwards reducing the overmanning throughout the airline but aren't viable yet. I just say to them: Remember Sabena and Swissair! betty
It is worrying for me as I want to make reservations for USA soon and there is not much choice from Paris especially if you are travelling with animals.I normally make the journey every year and every year there is a problem (strike) connected to travel somewhere. If it wasn’t for my pets, I would fly from the UK and bypass all this nonsense. PaulT
They should look at Ryanairs pilots zero hours contracts - if AF goes bust will they be happy with that?
