Air France strike over

The spoilt brats of the airline industry have gone back to work, without gaining any of their demands, and earning the disapproval of the entire country as well as getting a right rollocking from the prime minister.

Whether they will still resist the arrival of Trasavia remains to be seen, but they will sure have to accept it when the redundancy notices start appearing.

Good, but they could do it again.

Trouble is that France or at least the government likes having an Air FRANCE, as if it represents the country and it's reputation......... done a good job of that, haven't they, these egotistical pilots..... nice to be able to quote the PM[Www]

I was in France with a party of people many of whom had booked flights via Air France. After this disruption they will never fly Air France again, like many others, so it will be no surprise when there are redundancies .

This strike by a small number of highly paid employees encapsulates why this country is doomed to be cast adrift in the world economy. Airlines throughout the world have had to adapt to low cost competition and Air France was just trying to do the same to survive, to keep jobs intact.

Ooops, it seems that another, pilots' union has maintained the strike so chaos may still reign.

Well I have decided, I shall give Jet2 a go now, when they start their winter flights. I dare not risk KLM with their Air France connections.
