idun
French news tonight had an article about something that has until now been a bit of a mystery, and that is what happens to the 'cash in hand' that the senateurs are given. This sum is well over 53 million €'s and distributed in variable amounts between the senateurs. Some of the senateurs are also Maires. As the public accounts have now been published, everyone can now see how this money is used. Shock horror, the Maires tend to fund things in their own communes. The senateur for Compiegne, also the Maire has put lots of money into his commune, but also money into repairs on a church in Corsica right next to his Chateau. The repairs have not been done, or maybe started and not been done properly. I know Ministers used to great phenomenal amounts of money, cash in hand to do with as they pleased. They said that this was stopping a few years ago, but has it really. I would love to know.
Chancer
Can you tell me where I can access this information regarding the Deputés around here?
idun
Chancer, they only mentioned Senateurs last night.I shall keep my eye out for any news articles about deputes though.Found this though[:)]http://www.courrier-picard.fr/region/combien-donnent-vos-senateurs-picards-a-qui-ia0b0n440343And maybe you'll have more luck than me trying to find the compte rendu for the 'deputes dans le cadre de la réserve parlementaire'. I can find the deputes but not the amounts they get cash in hand.
