Selling my house

Recommended Posts

I have now put my house on Greencres and would be grateful if some of you knowledgable people could peep at the ad to suggest any improvements.

The ad is only in English at the moment as I think it is a perfect second home from a British chap/esse.

Thank you in advance.

I haven't any suggestions, Wooly, but I'm not too good at that sort of thing. However, I think your house looks absolutely lovely, so light and airy and I love the garden too. Interesting to have an upside- down house.

If I was in the market for a house in that area, I'd buy it! Good luck!
Guess what, I have just had a message oif interest from Dr ******* in NIgeria. Hmmmmm
Hmmm is about right ... I think I would be a tad careful with that one [:)].

Edit : I have just looked at your photo-spread with Greenacres and can only say that it is a lovely house. Beautifully styled and bang up to date where necessary. Is that a pterodactyl fossil or a stork skeleton on your wall ?

You do need to market it to a wider-than-UK audience though ... as it will have wide appeal, in my humble opinion.

My other half, the one who used to sell fossils in some dim and distant part of his past, has looked over my shoulder and said that pterodactyl didn't exist as such. He said I should have said 'Pterodactylus' (if I heard him right ) belonging to the pterosaur species, but that is beside the point. It's you shooting one ... I just didn't realise that you were quite that old [:)] !!

It is a sweet little house, Norman, a bit different from the norm, the kind of place I like.

The advantage of two bedrooms is that you cant have too many visitors at once, The second bedroom is vast (8.80 metres by 3.20) and would make a sort of holiday studio for your friends who wanna be independent, which was the layout when I bought it.

The price is about right for the area, I think

Now that was a good reminder, we have a bedroom as big as that and I am going to convert it into two rooms, must call the building regs people.

Reason being that no one uses the snooker table in it anymore and it is hard to keep half warm in winter.

The asking price would just about buy you a studio in our area.

Good luck with the sale Woolly and don't lower the price too quickly.

Seems like exceptionally good value for money [from where we live]

Woolly, lovely house but may I make some comments that I hope you find constructive?

Firstly, switch on some lights ... the photos show the rooms to be quite dark. While we appreciate the benefits of shade, newbie owneres want light and sun everywhere. That was my first impression on the photos and may be that of others.

You might have to re-shoot each room at different times of the day, when the light falls upon it, rather than at the same time. But a light room is far more attractive.

Also, you are on the edge of the village ... how many minutes' walk to the bar, to the restaurant? I'd include that in.

Hope you find this advice useful.
