idun
News said a group of school children from Lyon have been caught in an avalanche and there have been deaths.Unnecessary, because the news said that they were skiing hors piste..... and what does one do with school children, and frankly for one's own safety, stay on the pistes, unless an expert skier.I know some expert skiers, most people are not, I am not.I accompanied our village childrens ski group every Wednesday for years and years, we never dreamt of going hors piste. And would always take the advice of the pisteurs or moniteurs, about the state of the 'normal' pistes, easy enough to do, as we knew them.I am so saddened by this. Loiseau
What a terrible story.http://www.ouest-france.fr/societe/faits-divers/isere-des-lyceens-et-leur-professeur-emportes-par-une-avalanche-3967260Their teacher was totally crazy to take them on a run that was CLOSED due to risk of avalanche.Angela
Jonzjob
The Beeb said that the teacher is badly injured. I'll bet there are some parents who would wish to add to that! He/she should be hammered by the law for the stupidity of it!
