woolybanana
Well, in and unpacking. Beautiful day for it but it was a tad nippy when the chaps started unloaded before sun up.Doggies arrive tomorrow, driven by a rather nervous Oiseau. It is the first time she has done a long trip with them. Apparently they have been sulking without Master, awwww!I used Les Demanageurs Bretons, by the way, which is an association of companies; excellent service right along the line. mint
Wools, you have survived, bravo!Housemoves, IMHO, are like divorces, the thought of them is nearly always worse than the actuality.I can imagine doggies' faces when they see you and their new home. Will you be able to run them around the ramparts? Gardian
Two questions:Did you keep a corkscrew handy? (We didn't - a fundamental blunder). How big a bung did you give to the removers?Enjoy!
Jonzjob
Good luck in yer new abobe Wooly!! [B]Corkscrew? One of those has been a part of my body, left trouser pocket in winter, bum bag in the summer, for longer than I can remember. I can't understand the mentality, or lack, of anyone who goes anywhere without one. [:-))][:-))]
Russethouse
Off topic alert : we often take a bottle of wine away with us, usually a screw top and one of those rubber things to help get a grip.....however last year, in rather a remote fairly upmarket establishment, we realised we had left the 'rubber thingy' at home and try as we might we couldn't get a grip. In the end we had to resort to the reverse of the ironing board cover [:$]We are now never without both a corkscrew and a 'rubber thingy' when travelling....[;-)]
