woolybanana
Well, Kenyatta and Mandela did it, the former PM and current foreign secretary Marc Ayrault did well out of his conviction, but will Jerome Cahuzac, former Minister of the Budget be able to rise from the ashes? Today he was condemned to three years prison and his wife to two years for fraude fiscale ( they had very juicy accounts in Switzerland), though I suspect that the former was got a slap on the wrist for lying so brazenly to the Assemblee Nationale. He is out on bail pending an appeal, of course, unfortunately. Patf
I read this story in yesterday's Dépêche and husband said, if that had been in the UK there wouldn't have been any prosecution. Those in charge would all say, Good for him! What do you think? Husband has a very jaundiced view of the UK at the moment.
Gluestick
Well, hmm...let's think.George W Bush should be in jail as a war criminal and Blair too. Blair and his cronies ought to be in jail for using public purse monies to pursue a covert policy of political vote gaining social engineering; Ted Heath? Say no more! Mandelson?Keep on going.....
