Head of the IMF guilty of negligence

Recommended Posts

Chrsitine Lagarde, French head of the IMF has just been found guilty of negligence in the Bernard Tapie affair, despite the prosecution themselves that the case was too weak to go to prosecution.

Basically she was a minister in a Sarkozy government overseeing a ministry with little or no experience as minister and allowed a huge compensation claim for Mr. Tapie to be agreed (and therein lies a tale).

The Socialists hated him because he had advised people to vote Sarkozy having been one of their ministers, and they have been gunning for him ever since.

This is part of their their revenge, as they have managed to get the Tapie compensation voided too, which makes me wonder just how politically biased justice is in France.

The extent to which this injustice runs deep in that the court used is designed to be used to punish ministers for misdeeds in office and the fact that she was 'dobbed in' by two extreme left ministers, plus Ayrault and Cahuzac, both of whom have convictions for fraud (the latter is awaiting a substantial sentence).

She was also found guilty of negligence, a crime which does not exist at this level and in this court.

What a load of ......
