Beware 17th November strikes

Recommended Posts

It seems that big strikes or blocades against the rises in fuel prices and taxes are planned for 17th November and maybe onwards. This is slated to involve road, M-way and service station closures and maybe more.

So, guys, as the silly season progresses, be careful, particularly as the oil price is gonna rise and the government is gonna maintain its duty increases.

Well, they had a good day out, only 1 killed and 16 damaged, plus hours and hours of delays. My local Leclerc was empty and odd people said it took them four hours to do short journeys. And the herrings were blocked in the Boulogne market in mid-season, dammit!

There were a few on my nearest roundabout but the gendarme kept them just off the road.

Pity the FN and the extreme left got involved as well as les casseurs in Paris. They dirty everything.

Will it bring down the price of car fuel? I doubt it.

ALBF (on this thread) - advice is stay in your little privileged bubble and enjoy the summers - dont go for gites though, live off your privileged income gained from the sweat of others. Just like WB and other right wing monied people.

Don't stay in the UK when the little island becomes a tax haven for the rich and keep your fingers crossed that you don't become ill in either place.

Tories in power are there for the rich and, probably, you are not rich enough or have not been to the right school.

Mind you, Maggie May (and the Pope for the French) will pray for you individually on her/his Sunday visit to church. So all is well.

Grr.
