Getting fonctionnaires to work their contracted hours

Thanks to a thoroughly corrupt system of extra paid holidays such as maires days, beginning of school days, attending wedding days ( three days for a family member, five days for a colleague)...... the list is endless, territorial fonctionnaires and those in the health services have been working considerably fewer hours per year than they should, And the government wants it all sorted as it costs 50000 fonctionnaires or € 1.5 millard par année.

They have been given until the next local elections to sort it out. Wait for the screams of agony as the usual suspects cry foul, threaten strike action, burn tyres etc.

There is one problem les gilets jaunes could insist on being sorted as it increases their taxes.

AH.....la belle France....

I don't think my friends in the UK believe me when I tell them about such things.

I once went to a meeting and a couple of psychologists were there and they started doing some role play and one of their role plays was how to deal with fonctionnaires. According to them, it didn't matter how badly things had gone wrong, one always had to be VERY polite and treat all fonctionnaires with the utmost respect..... AND NEVER get angry or shout.
