nomoss
I know the Welsh are reputed to be frugal, but is it not surprising that Cardiff City didn't insure him from the moment he was signed over to them?Even when I buy a car or a house, I am reminded to arrange insurance to cover it as soon as I sign the documents to put it into my name. nomoss
Not intentional, just incompetence, overpaid amateur administrators out of their depth?
Quite possible. We sold a yacht brokerage, and a short while later the new owner told me he had received a request to make an offer on behalf of a prospective buyer for a yacht with an asking price of over one million pounds. It made him so nervous he simply ignored the request. Totally out of his depth.Less than a year after he bought the business, he "did a runner", leaving many people, including ourselves, out of pocket. He had borrowed the money to buy it from a probably gullible female partner, so was not really committed.
