Gardian Posted May 10, 2021 Share Posted May 10, 2021 The three cafes / bars in our local village have all wheeled out their tables and chairs today in obvious preparation for things ‘opening up’.It has piddled with rain all day today, so nothing seems more inappropriate. Still, things can change rapidly weather-wise down here.The thing is ........ I thought that it was Weds 19th when bars could open to customers outside. Are they running more than a week ahead of themselves, which would be very un-French? Or has something happened that has passed me by, i.e. an acceleration of the deconfinement? If it’s the former, they’re running a great risk of their outside furniture disappearing on a white van in the middle of the night sometime in the next nine days !
