Val_2
Price in local Super U for unleaded 98 has risen 7 centimes per litre since last monday when I filled up.OK all you well-paid earners in the UK might say,but when you have 4 vehicles to keep on the road it soon adds up here with wages that don't match. It was officially declared the dearest prices since 1980 in saturday's paper and I agree. Wonder what the knock-on effect will be - strikes again by the lorry drivers, dearer food and loss of revenue in the tourist industry because people won't bring their cars to France? Chrissie
Surely this is a "global"-type rise, resulting from the activites in the Gulf? Still much cheaper here than UK, for example.Chrissie
Iceni
Can't imagine that the lorry drivers will care unless/until the price of the smelly stuff goes up.Johnhttp://www.iceni-it.co.uk
Val_2
Sky news this morning are warning of petrol blockades again in the UK like a couple of years ago. The chap who organised a lot of it is trying to get Gordon Brown to do something about it before they take a stand again.
