Lamaggot
I wish I knew where everyone gets their "cheap" fares from. My fare for a car plus two adults on 7 July returning 22 July is costing 404. I don't think I'll be using this route again!
Will
Thanks for confirming that, I thought it was just me. That's certainly the sort of figures I get quoted by P&O every time I look into it. I know that there were promotional rates on offer right at the beginning of the fast craft operation - but even then they would have cost more than BF with owner discount for the times I was travelling.I'll have to try the fast craft sometime though. Will (50)Forum moderator
Sassy
I think you have to approach the operator with a price you have in mind, and be prepared to negotiate times and prices. We travel regularly on the normandy-portsmouth(ie french prices) and portsmouth-normandy(uk prices) and at any time i never pay more than 150 sterling for a car. Travelling back to uk 19 july and returning 2 aug i was quoted 800+ euro. Then offered non changeable ticket for 137 euros. Husband quoted 253sterling for travel with transit van 4 july to 17july, changed times and now 171 sterling. Don't let them get away with it as they are aware they can offer you alternative prices. Good luck.
