Fay
Next weekend I'm driving with a friend to her newly-purchased semi-ruin in St-Hilaire near Carcassonne. We're booked overnight with cabin on the Brittany ferries route above, and I just wondered if anyone on the forum has any words of wisdom about the journey/facilities/ports etc. It's ages since I've been on a ferry, I'm devoted to the tunnel. All advice welcomed! Thanks.
Will
I haven't been on that route for ages, but it was a memorable journey. Very long, but I enjoyed it. When you consider that it was so long ago I went that the ship on that run was the Quiberon, and I still managed to enjoy it, it must have been good. It should be an even better experience on the Pont Aven. Santander is a nice port, small and there wasn't much in the way of port facilities though there might be more now. The highlight was threading our way through the islands off the Breton coast, I hope the bigger ship can follow the same route. Will (50)Forum moderator
