Mutts
Got to book our crossing very soon and I need to decide now which route to take - Boulogne to Bergerac - as I'm also planning to stop overnight at a cheap hotel. Any recommendations which route around Paris we take? Any roads to be avoided?
Iceni
LAST EDITED ON 01-Aug-04 AT 08:42 AM (BST)If the A20 yesterday is any guide avoid all roads for the whole of August !!One way to avoid Paris altogether - go via Rouen to pick up A20 at Chateauroux.Though LF contributors oop north will be better advisors than I.Johnhttp://www.iceni-it.co.ukp.s. try www.mappy.com
Autismuk
The West Paris roads are awful both the outer roads like the N184 and the roads that end up in places like Vernon and Mantes - how about A16 Abbeville A28 Rouen A13/A154 Evreux N154 through Chartres onto the A20 then south, my preferred route.Haven't done it for a while though.
