davison
The owner of the house we would like to buy is in dispute with a neighbour who is building a garage on land very near to the owner's property. If this dispute is not resolved before the sale will the dispute (and consequent costs) be "passed on" to the new owners?Has anyone had experience of this sort and can you offer any advice?I feel there was an article re something of the sort in Living France a few months ago. Can anybody remember where?
AnOther
We bought our house with an ongoing servitude (right of way) dispute which had been to court and won by our seller but an appeal had been lodged and was yet to be heard. As the new owners we had to re-instruct the advocat to act on our behalf however but we had it written into the deal that the seller was to be responsible for all related expenses until it was resolved.
