letrangere
It made me angry enough yesterday merely reading about the fact that Calais port was expected to be closed for a day or two, I sympathise with all those whose Easter holiday plans were disrupted as a result. Must be maddening. M
Ron Avery
Must be really annoying for workers to choose a bank holiday week to strike, wouldn't get UK workers like baggage handlers at airports doing that now would you Anyway its back to normal at Calais today anyway. moon
We travelled over with hoverspeed on the 22nd. The seacat arrived in calais but stopped 3 feet from berth. Captain announced we wouldnt be allowed to dock so turned round and headed back to UK, a mile out of Calais they decided to let us in to we returned and docked without any problem and much bowing from fench dockers.Set off to drive down to Rouen and just before City Europe traffic ground to a halt as a large group of men were walking arm in arm across the motorway. Half an hour later they all ran off into a field besides the motorway, the reason a hundred or so armed police at the interchange ready for a fight.Delayed us for a couple of hours but its all part of the fun of France isnt itBob
