We're coming back to UK around 25/26th August from Poitou Charente with an empty people carrier (will have to check booking on ferry when hubby is awake) if that's any use.  Nowhere near Bristol tho as we're heading to North Yorks (and can't, sorry, but we have a child's birthday party to get back for) but could drop you at a convenient point on the way if you have no better offers ........
