Opalienne
Yes, we have done both England and back and Belgium and back without problems. We use Ada Location - they use nearly new vans and are much cheaper than the larger companies.

emma5
Hi, we hired a van with europcar, there websire is www.europcar.fr. or www.europcar.com this one is in english if thats any easier. We went in to the local office rather than book online and managed to negotiate a cheaper mileage deal than quoted on website, it was quite reasonable, we had to go from Charente maritime to northamptonshire, so the difference was quite a saving. Hope you find something.Emma pons
Val_2
Yes I have known people hire vans here and go to the UK and it was much cheaper than the reverse. Europcar again was the company used.
Bannon
If any of you are returning to France empty let me know. A builder contact of mine needs a few of bags of plaster brought back to Department 18. A nice drink involved obviously!
dinks
We looked at doing the same But by the time we put the cost of the van /mileage/tolls/fuel/crossing it all added up .So we looked at getting a part load with a removals company and flying back.It worked out 100 euros more to fly and have some one else do the lifting and driving And we used public transport for the first in some 20 years in the uk and all went well !!From 24 to oxford shire
