Robert Le Macon
Due to spiralling costs to sail into St Malo/Cherbourg/ Caen we are in the process of booking with Transmanche to do the Newhaven to Dieppe route. Much cheaper and only about 90 minutes extra driving. Does anyone have any tips for transitting either port and any experiences (good or bad) with this particular company?[:D]
Michael
No problems going into newhaven port except for a few speed cameras from brighton etc . Dieppe you just drive out the port gates and round the roundabout up the hill for half mile to next roundabout for all directions.Ships basic but clean and friendly, breakfast is ok,no newspapers, take it easy over the ramps to the ship or you could lose the exhaust pipe if your well loaded down. But whos complaining for 33quid one way with there new prices.Normal police hanging about on top of hills behind trees etc trying to nab your hard earned pennys on the outskirts of dieppe.Have a nice trip.I hope there is no snow on sat as we are travelling back with them. Brilec
Their online booking is not operational at the moment it seems. Where have you seen promise of new prices?
