Chesnelay
If you are thinking of using your supasaver tickets in March 06 - bear in mind that the one ferry is in dry-dock from 12th to 26th March 06. Their web site fails to mention this so you need to sit trying to get thro on the phone for ages before altering all your travel arrangements at the drop of a hat because you hadn't prepared for that eventuality[:O]
Will
Thanks very much for the warning. An annual drydocking is essential for ferries (and indeed compulsory for most) in order to have maintenance and safety surveys carried out. It seems a little ominous that Speedferries is allowing two weeks - sounds as if some major work may be necessary. In most cases drydocking is done about this time of year, which is why many operators have a reduced service or move their ships around a bit (especially Brittany Ferries). Late March seems a bit late, in fact it is dangerously close to the busy Easter season. Maybe the docking charges are lower at this 'off-peak' time? phylisbide
Ah - that is why the website gave me alternative dates when I plumbed in earlier ones...could not believe that all places were taken pre 27 March....
