La Guerriere
Don't laugh, we've been going to our maison secondaire monthly for the last fifteen years or so, but always out of Portsmouth (Cherbourg, Caen, Le Havre etc). This week we decided to go Poole - Cherbourg. There must be an easy way to get to the Poole ferryport coming from the Ringwood direction, but the sign posting appears to be deliberately obtuse. What's the trick ? Nick Trollope
The problem is the bridge just before the ferry terminal...We always follow the signs which take you (coming from ringwood) to the roundabout a couple after the Oakdene (?) caravan park. Coming out of Poole, the signs direct you via a very tortuous (?sp) route which comes out in Ringwood, and seems much further. I've never managed to find my way to the "incoming" route. alnmike
Stay on A31 at Ringwood towards Dorchester, at 2nd roundabout signed Wimborne, turn left, then immediately at next roundabout turn right, A349. Follow signs for port.
