Alan Zoff
OK, this is a bit lazy but prepared to accept flak from critics.I'm expecting visitors who want to cross from Poole to Cherbourg about 23rd April, returning to Poole about 7th April. (It will be their frist time to France.) They say they have been quoted £308 for 2 people, car and recliner seats (I don't know who with or crossing times) and they ask if this is reasonable. As someone who always goes from Dover and usually with SpeedFerries, it sounds astronomical to me but I'm out of touch with cost of other routes.Comments/suggestions welcome. Alan Zoff
Sorry. Should have said returning about 7th May, of course.
Pixietoadstool
Sounds about right to me if they haven't got owner's club membership. We are travelling out from Portsmouth to Caen on Thursday for 18 days and ended up paying about £200 to BF with our discount which would make the full price about £270 (we go on the cheaper crossings which are out p.m. back a.m.).Valerie
Kennymike
Have you tried going to http://www.aferry.to/ and using their "compare prices" tab? Useful link provided earlier today on this forum.
Alan Zoff
Nothing cheaper out of Poole but after using the suggested Price Comparison, they have switched to a budget service out of Portsmouth to Le Havre and saved over 200 quid! They asked me to pass on their thanks for the help.
