Will Posted March 30, 2006 Share Posted March 30, 2006 I had to laugh. In a previous existence I flew into and out of Ballykelly, when it was still an active RAF base. That was about 40 years ago, during a break in the 'troubles'. As the airfield was so close to the border you could hardly avoid flying over the Republic, so I can see why it fell out of use.It doesn't give a lot of confidence in Ryanair's navigation or electronic aids. A bit like Brittany Ferries turning to starboard a little too early in Portsmouth harbour, and ending up in dry dock alongside the Victory.
