lil
Hi we are arriving in France on Easter Sunday by air. Given that nothing will be open until Tuesday, do you know if it is ok to take food such as milk, butter salad etc on the plane?ThanksLil
Val_2
Probably not if it is a budget airline, suggest you ring and ask them beforehand. Better still, why not ask on a forum if there is anyone near to your destination home that could get a few bits in for you remembering that easter monday is also a day off here with hardly any shops open too. YCCMB
Noticed coming back from outside the EU last week that there are new regs governing what foodstuffs you can and can't take with you - big posters up in the baggage reclaim at Gatwick. Having said that, it governs the import of foodstuffs from outside the EU to to EU, and not within or between EU countries. Maybe have a go at googling your question or check out something like customs & excise?
Andyphilpott
We often take a pint of milk when we fly as for most of the week they only have long life milk in our village and that is no good for tea!Not tried other food by air though.Andy

Nick Trollope
If travelling with Uncle Michael O'L, don't forget his new, revised, rerevised, rererevised, jumped-up-never-come-down baggage rules (available in several formats for only £2.50/bag).... Stocky
All the shops in our village are open for half a day on Bank Holidays so I would carry the minimum food as you would have to pay excess baggage
cameol
Surely the big supermarches are open on the Monday after Easter? I didn't think they had bank holidays here?

Two weeks then we have another on the 1st May, one week and Monday 8th May, its all go over here.
