PeterG
New tax is £10 p p. You have already paid the old tax of £5 p p. Therefore, they should take the additional £5 p p from your card.

Russethouse
I saw it on the news and looked for a link, the commentator said it was not as good as it sounded, and looks as if he was right !The exit tax element should be £20 so where did the other £59 come from ? [8-)]I wonder, could it be a publicity stunt ?[;-)][;-)]If anyone gets it to work perhaps they would be kind enough to post.
AnOther
The wheelchair levy was a bonanza for RA and simply boosted profits. They lost a court case some time ago regarding free wheelchair provision since when every passenger has paid a levy towards it which is neatly obsfucated as "GBP Ins & Whlcr Levy" so it's impossible to break it down and exactly what does "GBP Ins" mean anyway? There used to be a more comprehensive breakdown of the fees somewhere on the site a long time ago but I can't find it now.I have absolutely no gripe whatsoever against wheelchair users but they probably make up less than .001 % of passengers and just how much can it cost to assist them at the airport. Even if the wheelchair levy were only £0.10 per passenger per trip do the sums...!It takes no mathematical genius then to work out that it is only the imposition of these spurious undefined fees which allows them to pretend to give away flights for free or just £0.
pip24
Try this. Liverpool to Bergerac, out Feb 22 return March 3 . for 2 people. I make it £33-10. It should cost £40 in tax !!! . Is this a miscalculation ? I wish RA sold 42 inch flat screen Tv's' !!!!!
AnOther
Something seems odd here. The details are in a different format to those I get with Stansted bookings so maybe the current "FREE" offer is only from selected airports? Le Petomane
Flying Friday, but as of today (Sunday) RA have still not taken the extra tax from my credit card. Is there any (effective) way of contacting them?
