Georgina
Has anyone gone on the Ryannair to Luton? Can you tell me how easy it is to get into the centre of London when you get there. Is the transport good. Have never flown to Luton before.CheersGeorgina
Russethouse
I thought Brest was Flybe from Southampton, Exeter or Birmingham ?
Gardian
Georgina ..........Easy - walk straight out of the terminal building and the bus / coach park is right in front of you. Take the frequent free bus service to Luton Parkway Station. (10 mins) Trains to St Pancras every half hour (or maybe even more frequent). Thereafter tube / bus / taxi.Gay ..........There is a Luton - Brest service with Ryanair (and maybe Flybe too for the other places)
Blanche Neige
Depending on where you want to get to in the U.K. there is also a coach service to Gatwick via Heathrow (and sometimes via Hemel Hempstead) plus coaches to other parts of the country. Georgina
Thanks everyone, looks worthwhile for a weekend trip from Brest with Ryannair even with the taxes, if it's easy to get into the centre.Georgina
Marym2
Hi.Easy way to get into London http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/luton_rail.htm among other ways. I have done this myself (getting off at London Bridge) and found that most lines including the tube, have a lot of connections. Let me now if you need more details. Val_2
If my non-english speaking neighbours can do it by themselves, anyone can. Give yourself plenty of time to return to the airport though as if you are so much as 5mins late they will refuse boarding.
Georgina
Yes, they don't make any allowances for anyone, whatever your excuse.Georgina
Judith
Give yourself plenty of time to return to the airport though as if you are so much as 5mins late they will refuse boarding.
And make allowances for the trains - at Christmas the fog seemed to affect the trains more than the planes - several just did not turn up - and there were lots of people trying to get to the airport on the only one which did, so the bus from train station to airport was not large enough to take all in one go - so allow longer than you think.
