Monika
Somebody told us (on our stroll along Swanage Beach and seeing the Ferry come past Old Harry Rocks) that the Ferry had a huge gash along its side. Just being nosey: was anybody from the Forum on the Ferry when it was obviously "parked" rather roughly!!!
Gastines
Hope that's not the Barfleur as we use it a lot and could do without it being out of service? Ex Bournemouth by the way.
Monika
Yes it is Barfleur, Gastines, let's hope it is not too serious so that they have to take her out for repairs, we need her for Easter, and she is our favourite Ferry too!
alnmike
oh - and she's only just been serviced too . . . . .
FerryGuru
Not sure which ship they were looking at. The Barfleur has no dents or gashes.
GJS
I have checked and there is no damage to Barfleur - may be someone should have gone to specsavers??
Monika
Very strange, just shows you, don't believe everything a stranger tells you on a stroll along the beach!!
Monika
Mystery is solved, this is "insider information": apparently Barfleur had a great streak of black oil/tar down her side w, which has been washed off.
