Pads
I saw marmalade taken off some one once while going through x-ray. Why not put it well wrapped up in your luggage.[:)]

Pierre ZFP
Yep, as does anything even vaugely moist. At Stansted there's even a sign saying specifically 'NO CURRY'. Mind you that's probably a good thing as I've had a few that couold burn a hole through the bottom of an aircraft [:-))]
Iceni
Maybe, maybe not but it would probably count as "confiture" which is on the "banned from hand luggage" list at Rodez.Johnnot
sharkhunter
We were stopped by officials at Bergerac and had to leave behind confit de canard in tins ??? Maybe they thought we had a cannery and had opened them to fill them with curry that burns holes in planes [:P]

Jonzjob
I went out from Carcassonne earlier this year, with on;y hand baggage, to the funeral of a dear friend and I took a jar of mirabel jam and another of reillette for the widower (spelling?). He has never been outside the U.K. The bloke at the securety didn't know what to do? He was asking everyone around and they pretended not to hear him. I explained to him who they were for and said that I would open them if he wanted, but he eventually said OK, but PLEASE don't bring anything like that again. The people who were waiting behind me were quite amused!!I had not even given it a thought that jam or reillette may be explosives. Taste nice too! Jonzjob
Why not? Peanut butter and jam, reillette and jam, duck and jam, chocolate and marmite cake? Could be a new fad for the Vicar of Dribly??[8-|]
