DZ
I travelled to Paris and back today for a meeting and I absolutely loved travelling from the newly refurbished St. Pancras station - beautiful and airy space, no queues to speak of, all well organized, clean and punctual train. At the other end Paris was sunny and I didn't even have to buy any metro tickets as all passangers were waved on because of the strike (weird, as the underground trains were running pretty well!). Same good service back to London - and a real pleasure to arrive back in that stunning station. I could commute like this for a living, you know (if only my train fares were being paid by someone else!).
Bones
My sisters were due to come over on the Eurostar and then grab a connecting train down to Toulouse: strike put paid to that! [:(]
