Hedgie
Seeing Steve's post prompted me to post this: we regularly travel down to the French Alps in an estate car with a top box. Some of the posts on the earlier thread seem to suggest that you can't use auto peage if you have a top box on - is that correct? Don't lorries and coaches for instance use it? Does anyone know what the maximum height allowed is (says she reaching for her tape measure)? Thanks
Just Chris
We use a top box on a Rover 75 Tourer, and have had no problems with height restrictions at the Telepeage. I think 2 metres is the magic height limit.Chris

napoleon
The 2m limit applies to the "reserve" lane which will have a height limit barrier hanging down at the entrance. If your vehicle exceeds 2m you must use one of the other lanes that also displays the "T" for telepeage. Just drive past the card/money machines and you will hear the usual beep at the exit.
