pagnol81
Operation Stack has been implemented today - industrial action by Sea France I think. With the major roadworks due to start in Dover on Monday March 3rd, I now predict gridlock not chaos if Operation Stack has to stay in place. DerekJ
Oh joy unbounded [:(] We are due to take a Sea France ferry from Dover on Sunday morning. I've just called them and of course, they don't know what the situation will be by then. One of the aspects of France I find less appealing.[6]Thanks for the heads up though... I hadn't heard about this.
DerekJ
Just an update on this. The Sea France strike is still on and will go on until at least Monday from what I've been told by them. We've been told to turn up and book in through the Sea France lanes at Dover and we will get put on another operators ship. Let's hope it works that way. looks like we need to find another route down as well, probably M25, M20 then across on the A249 to the M2 and into Dover that way. Any better ideas?Wish us luck [8-)]
Anton Redman
Best of luck and watch out for the speed cameras at the bottom of the hill on the A249 they point towards you.
