Monika
I have to travel by train from Hamburg to Paris later on this year. Has anybody of the Forum members done this before, which train station would I arrive at? Any advice gratefully received.
Clair
Paris-Nord, according to the SNCF website.
Callie
Lucky you, Clair, if you're actually staying in Hamburg ! I lived there for 3 years (a few moons ago) and would love to go back and see how it's changed ! Sorry, but I did the train trip (very long) too long ago for it to have any relevance today. Would be interested to know how it would be done today.

Clair
I did hitch-hike all the way from Annecy to Hamburg in my reckless youth![:D]It only took 18 hours to get there but all of 4 days to return to Annecy a couple of weeks later...
Monika
Thanks to both of you. Somebody recommended to telephone Deutsche Bundesbahn in London (they might have an office in Paris) directly, apparently they organize everything and give you quotes and also have Special Offers. Callie
It's no longer Deutsche Bundesbahn since the Wall came down ! ! I believe it is just Deutsche Bahn now.[:)]
Monika
Yes you are right Callie, I found it on the website under www.deutschebahn.co.uk
andyh4
Paris Nord or Paris est depending on time of travel. Looks to be about 8 minutes difference in the travel time. Go to www.bahn.deClick on EnglishChoose your route, date time etc and it comes up with all details including where to change, which platforms etc.. PS it works across just about the whole of Europe - not just to/from/through Germany.
