Polremy
It's not just from Stansted that they're being cut. As I wrote on the compensation thread, our flight from Barcelona Girona to Tenerife has now been cancelled (Mid October). They sent an e-mail today but so far I haven't received any refund. Not sure whether to now book Perpignan-Stansted and then Stansted-Tenerife or will they decide to cancel one of these flights too, leaving me in the lurch. Any thoughts/inside information? Gardian
Given the current economic situation, it's quite predictable (not aimed at you Polremy, you booked in good faith, but you're a victim). There'll be plenty more route losses, but the real question is how many will be scheduled for next season? The l-c carriers (those that survive), will be very cautious about offering up routes and frequencies.Difficult times, but hey, this is just the leisure market. The real problems are elsewhere.
