mint
Thought I'll ask here first before spending hours researching. Can someone please tell me the best, that is, most convenient and least time-consuming way of getting from Bordeaux or perhaps Angouleme to Zurich?Air or train? I do mean public transport and not driving. Many thanks.

And have you no more constructive comments to make?[:D]To be honest I was hoping that someone like Monika would come along and put me right. It's just so hard trying to understand French websites. Anton Redman
The attached works well for trains. Bordeaux Lyon was I think the quickest http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en?newrequest=yes&protocol=http:& Bordeaux airport site which is fairly friendly http://www.bordeaux.aeroport.fr/ Might be worth checking times in detail on using on of the cities such as Bonn which serve both Bordeaux and Zurich http://www.germanwings.com/fr/Infos-et-Services/Reseau-lignes-Decouvrez-Europe.htm Coach seemed a dead loss http://www.eurolines.fr/destinations/venir_en_france/ Easy jet fly Bordeaux London Luton and London Luton Zurich http://www.easyjet.com/en/book/index.asp BA via London Gatwick might be worth checking but from memory there is a long stop over. mint
Many thanks, Anton and you, too, BAF.Not considered the Easyjet option but, now that you have mentioned it, Anton, it seems a more than obvious choice.
