LisaJ
Off on our annual trek from Normandy to the south of Spain next week. Has anyone tried the route from St Jean de Luz to Burgos via Vitoria Gasteiz rather than via Bilbao? I am struggling to see from the map (and from the on-line routes) how much of this road is now dual carriageway; it certainly looks shorter.regardsLisa
Anton Redman
According to my 2007 Michelins it is all dual carriage way or motorway. Burgos to Pamplona via Vitoria Gasteiz was a all dual carriage way or motorway this spring.

cassis
Just bear in mind that ViaMichelin at least has a stab at estimating toll costs for various routes, which Googlemaps does not. However, from a practical POV I suspect you haven't a lot of choice other than the E402 or whatever it is these days.
plod
We travelled from Albi to Seville via Vitoria/Burgos and I'm certain it's all dual carriageway. It's a trek though!
