WendyG
Having maintained they were stopping flights from October until March, Eastern Airways are running two flights a week on Tuesdays and Thursday between Southampton and Angers and return.Due to the lack of publicity these flights often run with between 1 and 7 passengers which surely cannot be economic. Please, please all of you in the area try and patronise them or we shall lose these winter flights which are so very useful. They are a delightful airline and always run to time (they often arrive early) the staff are pleasant and helpful. You can leave your vehicle in the car park at Angers for free or take the courtesy bus to Angers station, and the train station at Southampton is a few yards from the airport. They admit that the lack of passengers is probably due to their being adamant that there were to be no flights during the winter. I telephoned towards the end of October and was told categorically that there were to be no flights until the Spring. It was only because of a friend that I discovered they were flying in November through to the spring.I flew with them last week with a friend and there were only 5 of us back to the UK and 7 back to France. The plane takes about 27 I believe. You get free sweets, drinks and crisps, biscuits etc.WendyG
