Théière
Looks like LD lines will be running a service along the same routes soon,
Fay
I always use Eurotunnel with my cat (sorry not dog but I expect not much difference in transporting terms) and it is very easy and efficient - plus I like the fact that she is in the car with me throughout the journey. She is entirely un-stressed by the whole thing and has just completed her 17th journey (on to her 2nd passport!).Oh, on the dog front, they have a grassy run/walk area at the pet check-in bit - complete with tree! MrCanary
Sorry if this has already been said in this thread, but as well as a Dover to Boulogne route, LD Lines are now running a Dover to Dieppe route...

pagnol81
Please be aware that Seafrance may have financial problems too. Perhaps not a good idea to invest in a block of tickets just at the moment?http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kol08/article/default.asp?article_id=52983
MrCanary
Sadly, the decline in traffic using the ferries will be compounded by fewer UK travellers because of the exchange rate.Certainly, as my wife and I are still unable to live in France, we will be cutting down on our visits and when we do come, we will be buying all our groceries in the UK before departing! Frederick
The UK media is putting out stuff advising people to go on holiday to non euro destinations and avoid the USA for best value .....no standing in line for us in the ferry cafeteria this year then? MrCanary
So, if people avoid euro and US dollar destinations, what is there to say that the currency of their chosen alternative is not also very high against the sad pound?
Frederick
Turkey and North Africa seems to be where the sun worshipers are likely to go this year
Théière
Don't you think people have had enough of Turkey at this time of year [+o(]I want BT to re run that advert where "Adam" books the holiday Villa. We noticed an increase in web browsing and booking following that Ad campaign.
