The aim of the event, organised by the not-for-profit PSA, is to promote ferry travel through its Sail and Drive members by offering a one-stop website providing comprehensive information about routes and itineraries as well as detailing special offers.The National Ferry Fortnight’s website, www.sailanddrive.com, will showcase the event’s special offers and give advice for all sorts of travellers from overseas homeowners to passengers with pets.‘We are hoping that this promotion will be far reaching,’ explains William Gibbons, director of the PSA, ‘and that it will inspire and encourage a new generation of travellers to discover the treasures that are on our doorstep and remind those who have forgotten how accessible and easy ferry travel can be.’The PSA’s Sail and Drive members include P&O, Brittany Ferries, Condor Ferries, SeaFrance, LD Lines, LD Transmanche, Norfolkline and Irish Ferries among others.
