savoirflair
I have a Visa electron card with the Halifax, purely to get no charges when I pay for Ryanair flights.[:)]Up until now has worked fine - no charges - but I see from my Halifax statement that one transaction came up as being with Ryanair IE and was charged in euros - therefore I got whacked 1.50 charge each way![:@]At the time I obviously didn't think about the possible consequences of paying in euros (it normally comes up in £s, even if I am booking from France) so my fault, but it is something to be aware of.Amanda
Théière
I think that is the card usage fee for abroad charged by the card supplier not Ryanair but either way have a look at what Ryanair charge cc customers and it won't seem so bad [:D] That's what I would call a whacking! Stan Streason
I can confirm. I sometimes book cheap one way fares from UK with no problem but when I book returns it is originally priced in euros so Halifax put on a fee. However have just booked some £10 out and €10 back so even with £1.50 added the price difference is marginal.
