Théière
Hi Mel, yes that's La Guerche. It's true what you say Mel, Dieppe clear people through the terminal and immigration/security so much faster than Newhaven.
La Guerriere
French pasport control is faster irrespective of port because they just look at the passports. They don't sit in little boxes with erratic scanning machines.Mind you in the holiday season it's always a laugh to see the people who get as far as passport control and it sudden dawns on them they have their passports carefully packed in the boot .... doh ! Théière
Like wise the ones who escape Britain by road, boat or plane, only to be turned back as they attempt to enter france as the passport is out of date.So not much point in checking them in the first place [;-)]
Sprogster
France has introduced scanning of passports on arrivals and departures, as I have had my passport scanned at Nice and CdeG airports recently, so it is coming your way soon La G!
