There will be some leeway but how do you think your fellow travellers will feel about you should you get stuck?Paul
dave21478
Bear in mind that the quoted height from the vehicle spec applies to a new and unladen car. Passengers and luggage may well drop it a couple of cm down, and if the suspension is a few years old, its probably riding lower than standard anyway. Best to measure it yourself and see. nomoss
If the weight of passengers and luggage doesn't lower it 11mm (which I doubt), you could always let the tyres down a tad if they are checking the height.
Kevinmc
You'll be fine. Just "book high" you will get on pretty easily. Not so much fun when you're behind a coach load of students who don't want to get back on the bus.

cooperlola
You do have to go under a height measure long before you reach the actual train, so even if you were over height in the end, you would not disrupt the flow of traffic very much! Pierre ZFP
If you go on the double deckers and are a tad tight for height, ask to go on the lower deck (if directed to the upper) as going up the ramp makes the height thing is even more important on the apex
