Dog
My B&SiL booked early Jan on a special £20 ticket deal to fly East Midlands to Bergerac - they were well chuffed and booked their holidays at work.Yesterday Ryan Air informed them that they were no longer flying from East Midlands. They must have known that this was going to happen within such a short timespan. They have now had to pay more to fly from Stansted. It seems a jolly ruse to advertise cheap flights get the money into the bank and then accidently on purpose alter things knowing there is demand for certain dates and whacking the prices up.Alan B'stard must help with the marketing & finance... Stan Streason
Dog - the problem with your "they must have known" argument is that there will always be people who have booked the day before any announcement and they will always be aggrieved. Make the announcement earlier - a different group feel hard done by. Perhaps this was the earliest opportunity - they could have carried it on at least another couple of months if it were a scam. Rose
Flybe did the same to us last year and we had to pay for the phone call to arrange for a refund... and that took weeks... and they didn't refund CC charges... until we insisted... It's not just Ryanair... in fact compared to flybe I think I'd choose Ryanair.Having said that the flights to the SW of england from Bergerac and Bordeaux all stopped over the winter and we missed them... they've started again from April and we're very very pleased... so if we had to choose between no flights or the antics of the airlines I guess we'd choose the antics.
