Rabbie
Brittany ferries have told me that the Portsmouth - Caen crossing tonight has been canceled due to industrial action. Does anyone know if this is a one-off or will it affect other sailings?
Salty Sam
I see there are no sailings listed until tonight. Reason being, and I quote: "Technical reasons at Caen."
Will
It would appear that the Normandie is stuck in port at Caen - presumably unable to sail due to industrial action. As a result, the Mont St Michel is being diverted to Cherbourg. It looks as if things should get back to normal tomorrow, but who knows?
BJSLIV
It was a Docker's strike at Caen. Seems to have been resolved.http://basse-normandie.france3.fr/info/ferry-bloque-a-ouistreham-pendant-24-heures-68027863.html
