A nice Ryanair story (for once)

Recommended Posts

I booked a ticket back home for next week and went to check-in today. Not taking too much notice I got the boarding pass in my email and realised that I had mispelt my name (derrrrr!) I know, I always have a laugh at others when they do it but realise how easy it is (especially when the website takes your name on the 1st screen and then doesn't display it again ...)

Anyway, stressed out as I was, I read in the T&C that it was going to cost me 110euro to change my name (Gulp!). So i took the plunge and bought another ticket (50euro).

As an afterthought I phoned the "English" help desk (which happened to be in Hungary), to ask if there was anything I could have done. The very helpful youg lady, said.. no worries, I'll correct the name on your reservation free of charge. But..i said..i've already booked another flight. Ok, she said I'll cancel that one and reimbourse the cost [:-))] as well

I had to pinch myself. Could this be MOL starting to take customer service seriously?

Are you sure you weren't dreaming?  [:D] And, yes, I agree it's a very nice story.

Actually I've never had any complaints about them, apart from that awful cheering when they land ''early'' plus cabin staff not being able to speak the language of countries they fly to and take money from residents - I'm talking about French here!

My son was booked to fly out to see us on the day after the french air traffic controllers strike, the strike over-ran and he managed to re-book outward bound, but as he had already printed off the boarding pass for the return flight, couldn't change the details on that! What was supposed to be a week with us was beginning to look like a long week-end :-( Anyway he phoned Ryanair and no problem! They changed his return flight at no extra charge as it wasn't his fault he'd had to change!!!!!!!!! I was well impressed!!!!
