Loiseau
A quick question on behalf of a friend who is taking Eurostar tomorrow from Paris. Is one allowed to take liquids on board, or is it like the airlines? He is thinking of bringing a nice bottle of wine for someone, but obviously doesn't want to risk it being confiscated. Thanks in advanceAngela
Loiseau
Just found the answer to my own question...http://www.eurostar.com/FR/be/leisure/travel_information/before_you_go/prohibited_items.jspSeems like it's ok as long as you don't take more than 420ml of wine.Angela
Gardian
How on earth do they arrive at 420ml being the limit? Perhaps somebody decided on 6 bottles and couldn't do the sum very well !!Our son has taken back 2 x 5 ltr bib's of wine in his suitcase before now and never had a problem. HoneySuckleDreams
Sorry to hijack this a bit...but is there an equivalent page for SNCF? I've been looking for ages and can't find a specific page, plus, trying to find an Email address to send a question to is a problem
Rabbie
This link would suggest there are no restrictions on taking liquids on Eurostar provided they are in sealed containers. No mention of the 420ml limit here
