Pierre ZFP
By chance I came across an article which stated that, from 1st April, lithium-ion batteries can no longer be carried in hold luggage in aircraftLINKI flew back last weekend with a bloomin' great Li-ion power brick in my hold luggage and I was never asked about it and I had no idea of the restriction. How would anyone ever know anyway? You can still carry them in cabin baggage apparently
Pierre ZFP
OK just ignore me.The restriction applies to cargo only and not passenger or crew belongingsSorry, I should have read the website more carefully
AnOther
Regardless spare batteries are prohibited in checked in baggage, if found you risk losing the bag completely.http://www.iata.org/whatwedo/cargo/dgr/Documents/passenger-lithium-battery.pdf
