adlinsell
I think this is a simple question but can't find the answer anywhere or anywhere to ask.I have a converted VW transporter which has 3 factory fitter seats (and seat belts in the front). The back is an aftermarket campervan conversion which includes 2 seats in the back with seat belts. However these are not M1 tested or MOT tested. Can my 4 year old travel in the front of the van inĀ France?
nomoss
The short answer is no, although there are exceptions. Also, the rear belts are supposed to be homologated. The regulations are here You can translate them by using Google translate or similar. nomoss
I see you have asked the same question on other forums, and are discussing the replies. You even thanked people on other forums.I sent you a link to the exact current regulations in France, which are straightforward and simple to translate. Are you simply going to keep asking in different places until you get an answer that suits you? alittlebitfrench
LOLI think sticking a 4 year old in a front seat of a camper van is just plain dangerous full stop.Surely the answer is obvious regardless of legislation.

It has to be a "baby" seat, fixed to the passenger seat, with the airbag disabled.
